Northwest Fire Potential Summary:

The PacNW is looking at a potentially busy week of lightning induced IA activity. The culprit is an upper level low pressure area that will be dropping southward off the coast while spinning moist and unstable air in over the region. Between now and Friday a daily dose of moderate to heavy IA activity is likely with the potential for 6 to 13 new large fires. Breezy and dry surface conditions are expected as well especially later in the week as the weather system kicks inland.
