Northwest Fire Potential Summary:

Burning conditions will remain elevated through much of the week with very dry fuels, hot and dry weather and thermal trough related instability. IA will likely be on the increase as lightning increases over the region.

Lightning is expected to decrease after Thursday along with the beginning of a cooling trend. Much cooler and moisture weather is expected over the weekend as westerly onshore flow kicks in.
