Northwest Weather Highlights / Fire Potential:

An increasing threat of lightning and atmospheric instability will begin over southern Oregon today and move northwest into much of Oregon and Washington over the next few days. The combination of high fire danger and more lightning means initial attack activity will spike on Monday and Tuesday with a corresponding boost in the risk for new large fires in a number of regions. Pay attention to local fire weather forecasts for the details in various areas across the northwest.
