Summary: In the Northwest (last 24 hrs), lightning occurred in South and Southeast Oregon with heavy concentrations in the Southern Oregon Cascades. Abundant lightning is forecasted again for Oregon today extending into Washington.

Northwest Weather Highlights / Fire Potential:

Heavy IA is expected over the region through mid-week. Starting Wednesday storms are expected to become increasingly wet but winds will be stronger posing the threat of elevated growth potential on existing or emerging new fires. Lightning will diminish but not necessarily end by next weekend.
